B I O G R A P H Y

Julianne French received her MFA in painting from The New York Academy of Art, the Graduate School of Figurative Art in New York City and her BFA in painting and art history from Jacksonville University.


French has received awards including the Memphis Wood Excellence in Teaching Award given by the Museum of Contemporary Art in Jacksonville, a Gilder Lehrman grant to study American history at Yale University, and two Art Ventures Individual Artist Grants from the Community Foundation in Northeast Florida.


Her work has been shown in over 60 exhibits including the Portico Library in Manchester, UK, the CICA Museum in South Korea, the Art House in Chicago, and the Jacksonville International Airport.


French has had work auctioned at Sotheby’s in New York City and has works in the public collections of the University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana and the Siena Art Institute in Italy.
